Introduction to Drill Down for Safety

In 2009, Safe American Foundation began its inaugural '9/11 Drill Down for Safety' campaign.  It was obvious that there was a need to reach out to new stakeholders across the nation to help them do emergency practice drills to be prepared for an emergency.  The Safe America team and its partners began a grassroots efforts spreading across the nation resulting in over 400,000 people in 27 states at 127 sites/cities participating in the campaign by doing a preparedness activity in September!  In response, more governmental agencies, businesses, tech companies nonprofit organizations, groups, families, and others have joined the campaign.
